It’s becoming increasingly popular now as a way of connecting high-speed peripherals to computers. Even with this extreme level of damage though, the results were pretty astonishing. Here’s what they all are: The Super Coolscan ED is by far the “cleanest” scanner we’ve tested to date, producing surprisingly low noise levels, even in its basic 8-bit mode, with no multi-sampling or analog gain tricks at all. Some old mounts are particularly rough, and more likely to cause problems. It opens to the last-accessed screen by default.
